KATHMANDU: A pregnant woman died in a road accident in Darchula district on Thursday morning.
According to the District Police Office, Darchula, a jeep heading to Hparidgad from Hopari in Naugad Rural Municipality-4 fell some 40 meters off the road.
The deceased has been identified as Parbati Tamata (25) of the same ward.
Ten others were injured in the incident. The injured are receiving treatment at Gokaleshwar, while the three seriously injured have been referred to Dhangadhi, police say.
Police have taken Lokendra Singh Thagunna, the driver of the jeep, under control for investigation.
