KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Home Affairs has recalled Kailali Chief District Officer (CDO) Gogan Bahadur Hamal following the death of an inmate at Kailali Prison.
The ministry summoned Hamal and transferred Dang CDO Krishna Prasad Lamsal to Kailali on Wednesday.
A clash broke out between inmates in two blocks of Kailali Prison last Friday, resulting in the death of 40-year-old inmate Bharat Chaudhary of Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City-4. The incident also left 47 others injured.
