61.17% of examinees pass Grade 12 examinations

KATHMANDU: The National Examination Board (NEB) has published the results of this year’s Grade 12 examinations, with 61.17% of regular students passing the high school examination. The results were made public on Monday evening.

A total of 396,347 regular students appeared in the examination. Of them, 242,465 passed the examinations, while the examinations of 11 have been canceled.

Similarly, out of 114,640 partial students, 41,840, or 36.49%, passed the examination.

A total of 510,987 students appeared in the Grade 12 examinations held all over the country from May 4 to 18.

Although the results were scheduled to be published by July end as per the academic program, it was pushed back for a few days due to the nationwide protest of school teachers.

The results will be published on the official websites of the NEB – result.neb.gov.np and neb.gov.np. The results can also be accessed through Nepal Telecom’s website (neb.ntc.net.np).

Likewise, students wishing to use the SMS service can type NEB, give a space, enter their symbol number, and send the message to 1600. Those using the IVR (Interactive Voice Response) service can call 1601 and follow the instructions to hear their result. Similarly, students can dial *1601#* to access the result through the USSD service.
