KATHMANDU: Umesh Jang Rai, the Team Leader for Biomedical Engineering Research and Innovation at the National Innovation Center (NIC), is representing Nepal in the “Unistream Social Innovation Delegation 2025” hosted by Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Issuing a statement, the Embassy of Israel in Kathmandu said the week-long program brings together emerging innovators from countries including Nepal, South Korea, India and Serbia for immersive exposure to Israel’s social innovation ecosystem.
Delegates are visiting leading institutions such as the Peres Center for Peace and Innovation, Save a Child’s Heart, and Technion University, among others. “They will also visit Kibbuttzim KFAR AZA, one of the sites of Hamas October 7 attack, and meet with a survivor of the attack,” the embassy said in the statement.
The delegation will also make cultural visits to the Old City of Jerusalem and Jaffa by the Mediterranean Sea.
Meanwhile, a 14-member Nepali delegation visited Israel on July 12-18 in coordination with the Muni Expo 2025.
