Jeep accident in Doti kills three, injures five

KATHMANDU: Three people died and five others were injured in a road accident in Doti on Friday afternoon.

According to the District Police Office, Doti, a jeep heading to Mauwa from Dipayal veered nearly 250 meters off the road at Khiradhara on the Dipayal-Sayal road section in Adarsha Rural Municipality-1.

The deceased have been identified as Devi BK (41) of Sayal-4, jeep driver Suresh Karki (27) of Adarsha-7 and Kali Katuwal (35) of Sayal-6. Kali succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment at Doti District Hospital, while the other two died on the spot.

Anita BK (14), Syanu BK (16), Kailash Bista (22), Deepak Bista (14) and Sabita Katuwal (10) are injured in the accident. Sabita is the daughter of the deceased Kali, according to police.
