House will resume if there is commitment to form probe commission: Pandey

KATHMANDU: CPN (Maoist Center) Chief Whip Hitraj Pandey has said that they would lift the obstruction of parliamentary proceedings if the government commits to forming an investigation committee on the visit visa controversy.

Talking to journalists on the federal parliament premises in Kathmandu on Wednesday, Pandey said that the House could resume if the Prime Minister, Law Minister, or any government minister commits to forming an investigation committee. “Although the opposition has shown flexibility, the ruling side is not even willing to form a probe committee,” he added.

Stating that they have not directly accused the Home Minister in the visit visa controversy, he said the Home Minister, however, must take responsibility for the agencies under their purview.
