Janamat decides to change two ministers in Madhesh government

KATHMANDU: The Janamat Party has decided to recall its two ministers from the Madhesh Province Government.

Mahesh Yadav, Janamat’s parliamentary party leader in the Madhesh Provincial Assembly, told Himal Press over the phone that Minister for Forest and Environment Tribhuvan Sah and Minister for Industry, Commerce and Tourism Sakil Ali Miya were being recalled.

“Sanjay Kumar Yadav will replace Sah, while Basant Kuswaha will replace Miya. The new ministers will be sworn in later today,” Yadav said.

Yadav added that the decision to recall the ministers was based on a review of their performance over the past year. “Both ministers had completed one year in the government,” Yadav said. “We decided to recall them after evaluating their work.”

Satish Kumar Singh of Janamat Party is leading the Madhesh Province government with the support of the Nepali Congress, CPN-UML and Loktantrik Samajbadi Party (LSP) Nepal.
