KATHMANDU: Eleven Senior Superintendent of Police (SSPs) have been recommended for promotion to the rank of Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Nepal Police.
A meeting of the Promotion Committee under the Ministry of Home Affairs took the decision on Tuesday.
According to a notice published by the comittee, SSPs Sudarshan Prasad Koirala, Binod Ghimire, Dipendra Gharti Chhetri, Deepak Regmi, Madhav Prasad Shrestha, Dilip Singh Deuba, Deepak Kumar Basnet, Om Bahadur Rana, Jayaraj Sapkota, Sanjeev Sharma Das and Surendra Bahadur Gurung have been recommended for promotion to DIG.
Meanwhile, DIG Siddhi Bikram Shah has been recommended for promotion to the rank of Additional Inspector General (AIG). He will be appointed once AIG Lal Mani Acharya takes retirement on age grounds on May 24.
