KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) continued its downward trend on Wednesday, falling 13.96 points to close at 2,620.27 — marking the fourth consecutive day of losses.
Share prices of 183 companies declined, while 62 advanced and one remained unchanged. Radhi Bidyut Company Ltd led the turnover chart with shares worth Rs 593.29 million traded. It was followed by Universal Power Company Ltd and Crest Micro Insurance Ltd, each with turnovers of Rs 513.26 million.
Total market turnover dropped to Rs 8.73 billion, with 18.49 million units of shares changing hands across 112,577 transactions.
Among the trading groups, only the ‘Others’ and ‘Development Bank’ sub-indices posted gains. The remaining 11 groups ended the session in the red, with the Hotels & Tourism sub-index recording the sharpest decline, down 1.96%.
