KATHMANDU: Police have arrested Shiv Sena Nepal President Anil Basnet.
According to SP Apil Raj Bohora, the spokesperson for District Police Range, Kathmandu, Basnet was arrested from Sukedhra on Sunday for investigation into his alleged involvement in violent activities during the demonstration of pro-monarchy forces in Tinkune of Kathmandu on March 28.
Two people died in the incident, while different public offices and business establishments were torched and vandalized.
