KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has expressed confidence that the budget of the upcoming fiscal year will stimulate the economic sector.
Speaking at an interaction program organized by the party’s Industry and Trade Department in Kathmandu on Monday, Deuba said that the upcoming budget will invigorate the economic sector, as it is essential to make the country economically capable.
“The role of both the government and the private sector is crucial for the country’s economic development. The upcoming budget will address the demands raised by the private sector,” he said, urging the government and the private sector to focus on digital economy.
Also speaking on the occasion, NC General Secretary Gagan Kumar Thapa noted that the lack of improvement in the general public’s condition, despite political achievements, has led to public frustration. “This frustration should not be taken as provocation but addressed appropriately,” he added.
