KATHMANDU: Three individuals died in a bus accident in Saptari district on Sunday afternoon.
According to the District Police Office, Saptari, the bus heading to Biratnagar from Saptari met with an accident at Kanchanrup Municipality-10 in Saptari district.
Two passengers, including a female, died on the spot, while the third passenger, Ratna Bahadur Magarati (75) of Saptakosh-1 of Saptari, passed away while undergoing treatment at Golden Hospital in Biratnagar, said DSP Jitendra Basnet, the spokesperson for the District Police Office, Saptari.
The identity of the other two deceased has not been ascertained.
According to police, the bus, carrying 35 passengers, suddenly overturned on the road.
Police have taken the driver into custody for investigation.
