KATHMANDU: CPN (Maoist Center) has said that regressive forces are becoming active due to the activities of the KP Sharma Oli-led government.
A meeting of Maoist Center office-bearers held on Monday concluded that regressive elements are increasing their activities due to poor governance by the coalition government led by Nepali Congress and CPN (Maoist Center).
After the meeting, Maoist Center Spokesperson Agni Prasad Sapkota concluded that although regressive forces have become active, the meeting concluded that the Nepali people have not been significantly affected. “The Maoist Center firmly believes that the Nepali people are still in favor of democracy. The only alternative to democracy is even better democracy,” he added.
Sapkota explained that those who are dissatisfied with the constitution and the federal transformation of the country are trying to rise again due to the government’s poor governance. “Although there are some questions regarding the current constitution and system, there are solutions to address them,” he added.
The meeting decided that the Maoist Center should play a strong role in the federal parliament as well as in the seven provincial assemblies by raising problems faced by the people. Sapkota also added that there is no possibility of the monarchy returning to the country.
Meanwhile, the party has decided to resume its Tarai/Madhesh Awakening Campaign after a month.
