KATHMANDU: Minister for Home Affairs Ramesh Lekhak has said that ruling parties will soon form a task force to initiate constitutional amendments.
Inaugurating the 8th National Council Meeting of the Nepal Financial Institution Employees’ Union in Bhaktapur on Thursday, said the amendment process will begin after the task force is formed within a few days. “The task force will identify necessary amendments. We will then forge consensus among political parties to push the amendments forward,” Lekhak added.
He also claimed that the government introduced the ordinances based on the country’s needs and expressed confidence that they would be passed by both houses of parliament.
