KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress (NC) has decided to support the ordinances recently introduced by the government.
According to NC’s Chief Whip in the House of Representatives, Shyam Kumar Ghimire, the parliamentary party meeting held on Thursday decided to support the ordinances.
The meeting also urged the government to immediately present bills that are necessary for the implementation of the constitution in Parliament at the earliest. Likewise, the meeting also instructed the party’s lawmakers to play an effective leadership role to ensure the passage of pending bills in the ongoing session.
Meanwhile, the meeting approved the nomination of Dilendra Prasad Badu as the coordinator of the disciplinary committee of the parliamentary party.
It also condemned the attack on Senior Advocate Dinesh Tripathi and demanded that the government take action against the perpetrators.
