KATHMANDU: One person died in a road accident in Sindhuli district on Thursday evening.
According to the District Police Office, Sindhuli, a microbus heading to Janakpur from Kathmandu met with an accident near Kandhangri in Sunkoshi Rural Municipality-3.
The deceased has been identified as Nirmal Gupta (50) of Janakpurdham-10, Dhanusha. He succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at Dhulikhel Hospital at around 3 am on Friday.
Eleven others were injured in the accident. They are receiving treatment at hospitals in Sindhuli and Kathmandu.
Police have taken the driver of the microbus, Sanjaya Kumar Mahato (32), into custody for investigation.
