KATHMANDU: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) President and former Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane, who was released on bail by the Kaski District Court in a cooperative fraud case on Thursday, is appearing before the Kathmandu District Court on Friday.
According to RSP Joint Spokesperson Manish Jha, Lamichhane will appear before the Kathmandu District Court as another cooperative-related case has been filed against him there.
Lamichhane was released from the custody of the District Police Office, Kaski, on Thursday after submitting a bail bond of Rs 6.5 million, as ordered by the court.
The bench of District Judge Nitij Rai also ordered the release of other defendants Chhabilal Joshi for a bail of Rs 8.8 million, Lila Pachhai for Rs 3.7 million, Mina Gurung for Rs 500,000, Ram Bahadur Khanal for Rs 1.5 million, Aarti Gurung for Rs 500,000. Krishna Bahadur Gurung for Rs 1.5 million.
