KATHMANDU: The Morang District Court has issued arrest warrants for 26 individuals, including Anjana Pokharel—the wife of the UML leader and parliamentary Public Accounts Committee Chairperson Rishikesh Pokharel.
Police are investigating the alleged role of these 26 individuals in the misuse of deposits from Umagauri Agricultural Cooperatives. The Area Police Office in Rangeli is investigating the case.
The UML leader, Pokharel, was elected to the House of Representatives from the Morang-2 constituency in the 2022 general election.
