TU appoints deans of eight faculties

KATHMANDU: Tribhuvan University has deans of different faculties and research centers.

A meeting of the TU Executive Council held on Saturday appointed deans of eight different faculties and directors of three research centers.

According to the TU Spokesperson Yaman Singh Bohora, Prof Dr Dwibinanda Dhakal has been appointed as the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, while Prof Dr Mohanraj Sharma has been appointed as the Dean of the Institute of Medicine. Similarly, Dr Kishor Chandra Dahal has been appointed as the Dean of the Institute of Agriculture and Animal Science.

Likewise, Prof Dr Bedraj Acharya has been appointed as the Dean of the Faculty of Education, Dr Thakur Silwal as the Dean of the Institute of Forestry and Prof Dr Mahananda Chalise as the Dean of the Faculty of Management. Bohora said Sushil Bahadur Bajracharya has been appointed as the Dean of the Institute of Engineering, while Prof Dr Shankar Khanal has been appointed as the Dean of the Institute of Science and Technology.

The meeting also appointed Dr Laxmikant Sharma as the Director of the Planning Directorate, Dr Rajendra Kunwar as the Executive Director of the Centre for Educational Development and Research, and Prof Dr Meena Rajbhandari as the Executive Director of the Centre for Applied Science and Technology Research.
