KATHMANDU: Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has named a 15-member squad with Puja Mahato as Captain for the Women’s U19 Asia Cup to be held in Malaysia.
CAN announced the squad through a press statement on Monday evening.
CAN has made only one change in the squad that participated in the ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup Asia qualifier, with Anu Kadayat replacing Manisha Upadhyay.
A total of six teams are playing in the Women’s U19 Asia Cup. Nepal qualified for the event. They are divided into two groups of three teams each. Nepal is in Group B alongside India and Pakistan, while hosts Malaysia is grouped with Bangladesh and Sri Lanka in Group A.
Nepal will play against Pakistan on December 16, before taking on India on December 17.
The top two teams from each group will qualify for the Super Four. The third-placed teams will play in the fifth play play-off.
