KATHMANDU: The CPN (Maoist Center) has concluded that the results of the recent local government by-elections reflect public approval of its policies.
A meeting of the party’s office-bearers held at the residence of Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal reviewed its performance in the by-election, according to party Vice Chairperson and Spokesperson Agni Prasad Sapkota.
The meeting concluded that party workers were pleased with the decision to contest in the by-elections independently.
Although the party lost the mayoral election in Kirtipur, Sapkota insisted that the party’s vote count has increased significantly.
