KATHMANDU: Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) posted gains of 17.80 points, closing trading at 2,775.85 points on Tuesday.
Share prices of 142 companies advanced during the session, while 97 declined and five remained unchanged. Ngadi Group Power Ltd logged the highest turnover of the session with Rs 267.43 million worth of shares traded. Janaki Finance Ltd and Best Finance Ltd were next with turnovers of Rs 265.18 million and Rs 240.63 million, respectively.
Among trading groups, six posted loss, while seven ended the session in green. The Trading sub-index posted the highest gain of 5.96%, while the biggest loss came from the Hotels & Tourism index which was down 1.71%.
Daily turnover fell slightly to Rs 8.52 billion on Tuesday. A total of 18.16 million units of securities were traded on the bourse through 88,775 transactions.
