KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli reached Beijing on Monday evening for a four-day official visit to China.
Sun Weidong, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Communist Party of China, welcomed Oli at the Beijing Capital International Airport.
Oli is on an official visit to China at the invitation of his counterpart Li Qiang. According to a member of Oli’s secretariat, the Prime Minsiter will hold bilateral talks with Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang on Tuesday. He is also scheduled to meet Chinese President Xi Jinping and Zhao Leji, chairperson of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, among other Chinese leaders.
Likewise, Oli is scheduled to deliver a keynote address at Peking University and address the Nepal-China Business Forum on Wednesday.
Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Arzu Rana Deuba, PM’s Political Adviser Bishnu Prasad Rimal and Economic Adviser Dr Yuba Raj Khatiwada, among others, are also in the delegation.
