Four ambassadors sworn in

KATHMANDU: Four newly-appointed ambassadors were sworn in on Sunday.

According to a statement issued by the Office of the President, President Ram Chandra Paudel administered the oath of secrecy to Lokdarhan Regmi, who has been appointed Nepal’s ambassador for the US, Dr Shail Rupakheti (Germany), Dr Naresh Bikram Dhakal (Saudi Arabia) and Chitralkeha Yadav (Australia).

President Paudel appointed the ambassadors on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers. Their appointments were earlier endorsed by the Parliamentary Hearing Committee.

Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Arzu Rana Deuba and other high-ranking government officials were present on the occasion.
