KATHMADU: Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) index went up by 33.41 points, closing trading at 2,716.66 points on Tuesday.
The secondary market recorded turnovers of Rs 7.44 billion through 75,572 transactions during the session. This is a slight improvement both in terms of turnover and number of transactions compared to Monday.
Unit prices of 210 scrips advanced during the session while 33 declined and one remained unchanged. Nepal Finance Ltd logged the highest turnover of the session with Rs 457.80 million worth of shares traded. Ngadi Group Power Ltd and NRN Infrastructure & Development followed with turnovers of Rs 330.63 million and Rs 288.38 million, respectively.
All trading groups posted gains during the session. The biggest gain came from Hydropower sub-index which was up by 1.97%. Next were Others and Finance sub-indices with gains of 1.68% and 1.51%, respectively.
A total of 14.29 million units of scrips changed hands on the bourse during the session. Market capitalization reached Rs 4.32 trillion on Tuesday.
