KATHMANDU: Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) went down by 13.03 points, closing trading at 2,667.40 points on Sunday.
Unit prices of 181 scrips went up during the session, while 55 advanced and eight remained unchanged. Janaki Finance Ltd logged the highest turnover of the day with Rs 608.73 million worth of shares traded. Next were NRN Infrastructure & Development and Ngadi Group Power Ltd with turnovers of Rs 403.33 million and Rs 363.37 million, respectively.
Among trading groups, except for Investment and Manufacturing & Processing, which posted nominal gains, all other sub-indices posted losses. The biggest loss came from the Development Bank sub-index which was down by 1.63%. Next were Microfinance and Others sub-indices with losses of 0.94% and 0.71%, respectively.
Securities worth Rs 7.72 billion were traded on the secondary market on Sunday through 76,418 transactions.
