KATHMANDU: The government has honored outstanding taxpayers on the occasion of National Tax Day.
Minister for Finance Bishnu Prasad Paudel felicitated different individuals and institutions for paying the highest taxes to the state in the fiscal year 2022/23 during National Tax Day and Tax Week Celebrations on Saturday.
Nepal Doorsanchar Company Ltd (Nepal Telecom) paid the highest income tax (institution) in the review period. At the same time, Shruti Traders was honored for paying the highest income tax among sole proprietorship firms.
Similarly, Minister Paudel felicitated Raj Bahadur Shah for paying the highest income tax among individuals. Dabur Nepal led in the export of goods, while Codavatar Tech topped the information technology services sector. Patanjali Ayurveda was recognized as the highest income taxpayer in agriculture and livestock, and Nabil Bank Limited in banking, financial institutions and the insurance sector. Bhote Koshi Power Company received the honor in the energy sector and City Express Money Transfer in the remittance and money transfer category.
