POKHARA: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) President Rabi Lamichhane, who was taken to Rupandehi to provide a statement regarding cooperative fraud allegations, has been brought back to Pokhara.
According to the District Police Office, Kaski, Lamichhane was returned to Pokhara at around 1 pm.
Government attorneys in Rupandehi questioned Lamichhane for three days about his alleged role in the misappropriation of deposits from the Butwal-based Supreme Cooperative.
“In total, we recorded statements for 23 hours,” District Government Attorney of Rupandehi, Premraj Paudel, said.
Lamichhane, a former deputy prime minister and home minister, remains in the custody of the District Police Office, Kaski, for investigation into the misappropriation of deposits from Suryadarshan Cooperatives.
