KATHMANDU- Thirty-five passengers were injured in a bus accident Wednesday morning near Samidanda along the East-West Highway in Ramantar of Manahari Rural Municipality-7 of Makwanpur district.
The bus en route from Kathmandu to Mahottari lost control and veered off approximately 10 meters down the highway, police say.
Twenty-eight injured passengers have been sent to Bharatpur for treatment. According to SP Bishwaraj Khadka, the chief of Makwanpur District Police Office, 13 of these passengers are in moderate condition, while 15 sustained minor injuries.
SP Khadka added that three injured passengers are receiving treatment at Manahari Hospital, and four are being treated at Hetauda Hospital.
