KATHMANDU: An 18-member delegation from India’s National Cadet Corps (NCC) paid a courtesy call on Chief of Army Staff, General Ashok Raj Sigdel at the Nepal Army Headquarters on Sunday.
The delegation, led by Wing Commander PR Ponnappa, is visiting Nepal as part of the Youth Exchange Programme (YEP), which is part of the annual initiatives between the two nations.
Nepal’s National Cadet Corps, which was established in 1965, has been actively participating in YEP, sending cadets to various countries including India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Bhutan, the Maldives, Pakistan and Singapore.
The Indian delegation is engaging in several programs alongside Nepali cadets, fostering mutual learning and collaboration, the Nepal Army said in a statement.
