KATHMANDU: The Judicial Council has transferred 14 high court judges.

A meeting of the council, chaired by Chief Justice Bishambhar Prasad Shrestha, transferred judges from the Janakpur, Biratnagar, and Tulsipur high courts.

According to a notice published by the council, Hari Prasad Bhandari and Dhir Bahadur Chand have been transferred from the Rajbiraj bench of Janakpur High Court to the Okhaldhunga bench of Biratnagar High Court. Similarly, Natibabu Lamichhane has been moved to the Baglung bench of Pokhara High Court from the Okhaldhunga bench of Biratnagar High Court.

Likewise, Subhash Paudel, Shyamji Pradhan, and Somkant Mainali have been transferred to the Nepalgunj bench of Tulsipur High Court, the Jumla bench of Surkhet High Court, and Tulsipur High Court, respectively.

Meanwhile, Kiran Kumari Gupta and Sushil Koirala have been moved to the Butwal bench of Tulsipur High Court and the Rajbiraj bench of Janakpur High Court. Both Radha Krishna Upreti and Kabi Prasad Neupane have been moved to Patan High Court.

Similarly, Bishnu Prasad Aryal and Ahyutam Kumar Acharya have been transferred to Biratnagar High Court and the Rajbiraj bench of Janakpur High Court.

Nara Bahadur Khadka and Sarala Moktan have been given new responsibilities in Tulsipur High Court and the Rajbiraj bench of Janakpur High Court, respectively.
