Sangita Pahadi appointed as MD of Nepal Telecom

KATHMANDU: Sangita Pahadi has been appointed the new head of Nepal Telecom, the state-owned telecommunications company.

The cabinet meeting held on Thursday decided to appoint Pahadi as the Managing Director of Nepal Telecom.

Pahadi had been officiating as the head of Nepal Telecom since Managing Director Sunil Paudel was suspended after a corruption case was filed against him in September last year.

Pahadi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Allahabad University, India, and a Master’s in Engineering from the Asian Institute of Technology in Thailand.

She began her career with Nepal Telecom in April 1993 and was promoted to Deputy Managing Director in January 2022.
