KATHMANDU: Gokarna Mani Duwadee has been appointed the new Home Secretary.
The cabinet meeting held on Thursday decided to transfer Subedi to the Home Ministry, according to the government spokesperson and Minister for Communication and Information Technology Prithvi Subba Gurung.
Duwadee is currently posted at the National Statistics Office as the Secretary.
The position of Home Secretary had been vacant since the appointment of Ek Narayan Aryal as Chief Secretary on August 29.
