Suspended Chief Secretary Aryal transferred to NPC

KATHMANDU: Suspended Chief Secretary Dr. Baikuntha Aryal has been transferred to the National Planning Commission (NPC) by creating a special position for him.

A cabinet meeting held on Monday took the decision, according to Government Spokesperson and Minister for Communication and Information Technology, Rekha Sharma.

Likewise, the cabinet has decided to give the responsibility of Officiating Chief Secretary to Liladevi Gadtaula. Gadtaula is the senior-most Secretary at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers.

Aryal was automatically suspended after a corruption case was filed against him at the Special Court on Sunday.
