GB Rai’s location in Malaysia traced: Lamichhane

KATHMANDU: Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane has said that the location of Gitendra Babu (GB) Rai, the main accused in the cooperative scam, in Malaysia has been traced.

Talking to the media at Bharatpur Airport on Thursday, Lamichhane said he was in regular touch with the Malaysian home minister to ascertain the whereabouts of Rai.

Rai has been accused of using deposits from the general public in different cooperatives to operate Gorkha Media Network.

Lamichhane served as the managing director of Galaxy 4K TV, which was operated by Gorkha Media Network, before he founded the Rastriya Swatantra Party to pursue active politics.
