Lawmakers demand probe into Campus Chief Kushbaha’s murder

KATHMANDU: Lawmakers have demanded a probe into the killing of Hari Bhushan Kushbaha, the chief of Kalaiya-based Ramraja Mohan Bikram Shah Multiple Campus.

Speaking in the meeting of the House of Representatives on Sunday, CPN-UML lawmaker Achyut Prasad Mainali condemned the brutal murder of Campus Chief Kushbaha and demanded a probe into the incident.

Likewise, Ashok Kumar Chaudhary of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) drew the government’s attention to investigate the murder of Campus Chief Kushbaha. “It is unfortunate that an individual engaged in the teaching profession has been shot dead in broad daylight. Just last week, four people were shot dead in Madhesh Province. I urge the government to investigate these heinous crimes and bring the perpetrators to justice,” he added.

An unidentified gang shot Kushbaha on Friday evening. He passed away while undergoing treatment at Birgunj-based Bayodha Hospital.

Police have arrested seven individuals for investigation into the incident.
