KATHMANDU: As many as 15 mules have been trapped after the cables of a suspension bridge over the Karnali River snapped on Sunday.
According to Harka Bahadur Rawal, the deputy mayor of Panchdewal Binayak Municipality in Achham, the cables of the bridge linking Panchadewal-9 in Achham and Athbis-4 in Dailekh snapped at around 10 a.m.
“Nepal Army and Nepal Police personnel are trying to rescue the mules with the help of locals,” Rawal added.
According to police, two cables on one side of the bridge have snapped.
The mules belong to Jore Roka Magar and Rajendra Bohora of Achham.
