SURKHET: Surkhet District Court has issued arrest warrants for Pancha Singh, the leader of the student wing of CPN (Maoist Center), and five others in a murder case.
Ujjwal Rawal, the information officer of Surkhet District Court, confirmed that arrest warrants have been issued for the six.
The six have been accused of killing Raj Bahadur Malla (17) of Kalikot 15 years ago. Malla, who was studying at Jana Secondary School in Surkhet, was murdered using a sharp knife. His uncle Navaraj had filed a complaint against the six with the police.
Along with Singh, arrest warrants have been issued for Padam Bahadur Rawaut (Tiger), Bal Krishna Singh (Gurans), Bir Bahadur Malla (Subhash), Ashok Karki (Ali), and Tanka Bahadur Singh.
Inspector Krishna Khadka of the District Police Office, Surkhet, said police were searching for the six. “The arrest warrants were issued on Friday. We have mobilized teams to arrest them. Police units across the country have been notified,” he added.
