KATHMANDU: Kathmandu has been voted as the No. 1 Natural Destination for 2024 in Trip Advisor Travellers’ Choice Award.
“Nepal’s capital is surrounded by a valley full of historic sites, ancient temples, shrines, and fascinating villages. Mingle with locals and animals amid Durbar Square’s monuments, or join mountain trekkers in the bustling Thamel District,” TripAdvisor writes about Kathmandu. “Explore shops for exquisite work by local artisans—carpets and paper prints are specialties.”
Other destinations recognized in the list include Halong Bay, Hurghada, Mauritius, Lombok, Kauai, Zanzibar Island, Grand Cayman, Guadeloupe, and Kruger National Park.
TripAdvisor annually recognizes travelers’ favorite destinations, hotels, restaurants, and activities worldwide based on reviews and ratings collected over the past 12 months.
In the overall ranking for top destinations to visit in 2024, Dubai secured the first position, ahead of Bali, London, Hanoi, Rome, Paris, Cancun, Marrakech, Crete, and Hoi An.
