KATHMANDU: A Swedish trekker has gone missing on the Mardi Himal Trek in Kaski district, news agency RSS reported on Sunday.

Citing the District Police Office, Kaski, RSS stated that Mitchell Liu Blumberg, 20, went out of contact since he left for the Mardi Himal Base Camp from his lodge at the high camp (3,550m) at around 4 am on Saturday.

Mitchell was hiking solo.

The Mardi Himal Base Camp is approximately a four-hour hike from the high camp.
