KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has begun preparations to revise its parliamentary party statute.
Santosh Pariyar, RSP’s Chief Whip in the House of Representatives, said the meeting of the RSP’s parliamentary party held on Monday discussed the issue. “We had earlier drafted the statute of the parliamentary party. After the Jaleshwar meeting, we realized the need to revisit it again,” Pariyar said.
He said the meeting also decided to make the party’s presence in parliament and parliamentary committees active in the coming session. The meeting also decided that RSP lawmakers will raise issues of their constituencies in the zero hour.
Likewise, RSP Whip Nisha Dangi said the meeting discussed where the party made mistakes in addressing and finding solutions to people’s pressing issues. “The meeting discussed whether the party failed to bring raised issues to a logical conclusion,” she said. “Monday’s meeting held discussions on the issues to be raised in the meeting and how to give continuity to them.”
