KATHMANDU: The government is organizing the 3rd Nepal Investment Summit in Kathmandu on April 21-22, 2024.
A steering committee has been formed under the leadership of Minister for Finance Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat to prepare for the summit.
The steering committee held its first meeting on Sunday.
Talking to reporters after the meeting, Minister Mahat said the government has begun preparations for the 3rd Nepal Investment Summit. “The summit will bring together not only foreign investors but also Nepali investors and non-resident investors. Nepalese embassies abroad will also be mobilized to make the summit successful,” Mahat added.
An implementation committee under Chief Secretary Baikuntha Aryal and a technical committee under the Secretary of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Supplies have been formed to organize the support.
These two committees will look after the necessary legal reforms, technical issues, and information to be disseminated to investors. These committees will also select projects to showcase before the investors during the summit.
