KATHMANDU: The Israeli Defence Forces have rescued 32 Nepalis taking refuge in bunkers after the Hamas attack in Israel.

According to Luis Rijal, one of the 49 Nepali students of Sudurpashchim University who left for Israel about a month ago, the Israeli soldiers are now taking the Nepali students towards Tel Aviv.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has also said that 32 Nepalis have been rescued. All the rescued Nepali students are safe inside the Israeli army camp, a foreign ministry official added.

Rijal said in a video posted on his Facebook that Nepali students, who had eaten nothing for the past two days, have been provided with food and water in the army camp.

Of the 49 Nepali students who left the country for Israel on a 10-month internship, 10 have been confirmed dead. Likewise, four are receiving treatment at different hospitals in Israel and one is still out of contact.
