Cabinet decisions taken on Wednesday [Full List]

KATHMANDU: The government has decided to accept a grant of 3.29 billion Japanese Yen from the Japanese government to implement Dhulikhel Hospital Trauma and Emergency Center Improvement Project. The cabinet meeting held on Wednesday took the decision.

Here are the other decisions taken by Wednesday’s cabinet:

1. Approve the Credit Regulation (Fourth Amendment), 2023.
2. Approve the delegation led by Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat, Minister for Finance and Governor for the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, to participate in the eighth annual meeting of the Board of Governors of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, which will be held in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, on September 25-26, 2023.
3. Grant approval to amend the Securities Registration and Issuance (Seventh Amendment) Regulations, 2023.
4. Approve the National Drinking Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene Policy, 2023.
5. Approve the Age, Caste, and Name Correction (Third Amendment) Rules, 2023.
6. Approve the visit of Election Commissioner Ram Prasad Bhandari to Maldives to observe the presidential election from September 7 to 12, 2023.
7. Approve the visit of a Nepali delegation led by Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal to participate in the 78th United Nations General Assembly to be held in New York.
8. Permit Chingad Rural Municipality of Surkhet to utilize nine ropanis of land in the former Ward 4 of Avalching Village Development Committee to build a 15-bed basic hospital.
9. Approve the creation of 38 temporary gazetted posts for 17 projects and programs under the Ministry of Forests and Environment in the fiscal year 2023/24.
10. Approve the creation of 74 temporary gazetted posts for the Medical Education Commission and the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology.
11. Posthumously confer the title of ‘Jana Gayak’, or people’s singer, upon singer JB Tuhure in recognition of his contribution to the nation through song and music.
12. Approve the visit of Rajesh Man Singh, Mayor of Birganj Metropolitan Municipality, to participate in the 2023 ICMA Annual Conference, which will be held in Texas, USA, from September 30 to October 4, 2023.
13. Approve the creation of 469 temporary gazetted posts for various agencies under the Ministry of Urban Development for the fiscal year 2023/24.
14. Express condolences to Sudan Kirati, Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, on the demise of his father, Harka Bahadur Rai.
