Gaurav Agarwal appointed as Honorary Consul of Dominican Republic

KATHMANDU:  Gaurav Agarwal has been appointed as the Honorary Consul of the Dominican Republic for Nepal. Agarwal is the managing director of Marriott Kathmandu Hotel.

Issuing a statement, the Honorary Consulate of the Dominican Republic for Nepal said this appointment marks a new era of diplomatic ties between Nepal and the Dominican Republic, strengthening ties and fostering cooperation in trade, tourism, and cultural exchange.

Expressing his gratitude for the appointment, Agarwal said it is an honor and a source of pride to serve as the Honorary Consul of the Dominican Republic. “Grateful to the Presidency in the Dominican Republic for entrusting me with this responsibility and to the Government of Nepal for approving it. I will facilitate tourism, culture, and trade
exchanges between both our countries,” he added.

Renowned for its vibrant culture and breathtaking landscapes, the Dominican Republic holds immense potential for collaboration with Nepal across various sectors. Mr. Agarwal’s strategic insight and expansive network are poised to create fresh prospects for businesses and individuals alike.

The Honorary Consulate of the Dominican Republic will be situated at Kathmandu Marriott Hotel.
