KATHMANDU: Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has introduced the ‘New RPP’ concept, aiming to bring capable youth under the age of 40 to leadership positions in the party.
For this, the party has invited applications from interested individuals to fill 20 central member positions. Aspiring candidates are required to submit their personal details and work plan to the party by the third week of August.
Saraswati Adhikari, a central committee member of the party, revealed that the party is committed to ensuring gender equality by nominating women in 50% of these positions. Selection criteria will be based on factors such as geographical representation, population demographics, the potential for expanding the party’s sphere of influence, and the possibility of nurturing strong leadership.
Both existing party members and individuals not currently affiliated with the party can apply for the position of central member. The party expects to select applicants with proficiency in information technology and social media management, fluency in multiple languages, and the capability to represent the party as candidates in the first-past-the-post voting system. Their work plan and vision for the party will be crucial factors in the selection process, Adhikari added.
