KATHMANDU: Nepal Sadbhavana Party has unified with Nagarik Unmukti Party.
The unified party will be known as the Nagarik Unmukti Party and will adopt Nagarik Unmukti’s flag, election symbol, and party statute until the unity convention.
The unification announcement was made during a ceremony held in Janakpurdham on Sunday.
Speaking at the unification program, Nagarik Unmukti Party’s Founder, Resham Lal Chaudhary, accused the Madhes-based parties of repeatedly deceiving him. He alleged that leaders of the Madhesh-based parties had instructed their cadres to prevent them from coming to Janakpurdham.
The unification ceremony was attended by Nepal Sadbhavana Party’s General Secretary, Rajendra Chaudhary, Nagarik Unmukti Party’s Laxman Chaudhary, and provincial and district level leaders of the two parties.
