KATHMANDU: Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif has extended his condolence to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal on the passing away of his wife Sita.
“I extend my deepest condolences to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal on the passing away of his beloved wife. My heartfelt condolences to him and the bereaved family,” Sharif wrote in a tweet post.
Similarly, the Communist Party of China (CPC) has extended profound sadness over the demise of Sita Dahal. In a message of condolence, CPC foreign department chief Liu Jianchao described Sita Dahal as a prominent leader of the CPN (Maoist Centre), recalling her visit to China at the invitation of the department in the past. “We express our deep sorrow over her demise. During these hours of grief, the CPC wishes the Prime Minister for having strength and fortitude,” the party said.
Sita Dahal (69) passed away on Wednesday morning while receiving treatment at Norvic International Hospital in Kathmandu. According to the hospital, she was a known case of Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, Parkinsonism, Diabetes Mellitus-II, and Hypertension.
