KATHMANDU: Former banker Anil Keshari Shah has joined the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP).
RSP President Rabi Lamichhane welcomed Shah to the party at a ceremony organized to mark the first anniversary of the party at its new headquarters in Balaju.
Shah will head RSP’s Training Department.
Shah is the son of Bindeshwari Shah, the first woman ambassador of Nepal. He began his career in the banking industry by joining Grindlays Bank (now Standard Chartered). Shah, who left Standard Chartered to become the General Manager of Nabil, became the bank’s CEO after just one year.
Shah left Nabil to become the CEO of Mega Bank. In his eight years with Mega, he firmly established the bank in the industry and later rejoined Nabil, where he ended his banking career.
