Nepal clinches third position in CAVA volleyball

KATHMANDU: Nepal has clinched third position in the CACA Women’s Volleyball Challenge Cup 2023 defeating Uzebkitan in 3-1 sets.

In the match played at National Sports Council (NSC) Convered Hall on Sunday, Nepal lost the first set 20-25 but won the next three sets to take the bronze medal. After losing the first set, Nepal won the next three sets 25-16, 25-15 and 25-13.

Defending champions Nepal faced defeat against Kazakhstan in the semifinal on Friday. Kazakhstan and India are playing for the title later today.

The event was organized jointly by the Central and Asian Volleyball Association (CAVA) and National Sports Council.
